How Our Advertising Works

• Our Buy Sell & Advertise groups and our public Facebook page are active all week long with new ads, sales, events, and community updates.

• The Around Town Paper is published on Wednesdays. That’s when your ad appears in the paper and gets cross-posted into our Buy & Sell groups.

🛒 How to Place an Ad in Our Buy & Sell Advertise Groups
✔️ Free Member Posts - Anyone can post general household items for sale in the groups at no cost. 👉 These posts follow regular group rules and are not boosted or pinned.

💼 Businesses on Facebook - If you’re a business, crafter who sells, thrifter/reseller, service provider, etc., here’s how to place a paid ad:

1. Choose Your Option:

   • 🔔 @everyone Tag – $10 - Your ad will include the @everyone tag, which sends a notification to every member of the group. This guarantees maximum visibility - your post won’t get missed in the feed. ⚠️ To keep things fair and avoid overwhelming members, we allow only one @everyone tag per group, per day. First come, first served.
      

   • 📌 Pinned Post – $50 / week - Your ad stays at the very top of the group feed for 7 full days. Every time members visit the group, your post is the first thing they see - no scrolling required.
      

   • 🌟 Banner Post – $100 / week - Your ad becomes part of the group’s cover photo banner for 7 days. This is the very first thing members see every time they visit the group — front and center, no scrolling needed. ⚠️ Only one banner spot per group per week is available - reserve early!
      

   • 💼 Business Rate for Group Postings - $75 per group - Add more groups for $65 each. +$300 for all 6.
      

   • ✂️ Small Seller Rate (MLMs, Home Crafters, Hobby Sellers) - $40 per group. Add more groups for $30 each. +$150 for all 6.
     
        -Social Media Share  - $100 Your ad shared direct to our public Facebook page from yours. Add a group for $50 more. +$250 for all groups.
     
        -Yard, Garage,  Moving & Estate Sales  - Date, time, location and a photo. $10 per listing and per group.
     
     Send Us Your Ad - Email/Facebook message your text, photo, or video ad. Include any links you want added.
     Make Payment - E-transfer or PayPal (we’ll confirm details).
     We Post for You!  - Once payment is received, your ad is placed in the group(s) you choose.

     • If you selected @everyone, pinned, or banner, it boosts according to your package.

   2️⃣ Send Us Your Ad Information - Provide your details ( text, photos, links or logo). Once received, we’ll confirm your booking by email.
   3️⃣ Review & Approve Your Ad - We’ll send you a preview and invoice. 
   4️⃣ Secure Your Spot with Payment - Approve your ad and complete payment online to confirm your booking. (Unpaid ads will not run.)
